Thanks for visiting my website. Here you'll find information about the presentations I give and some of my writings; information about me, my background and clients; and news about upcoming engagements and articles in which I'm quoted.
In 1988, I co-founded Training Support Technologies, and our tag line was "integrating technology and the human dimension." Not terribly well-phrased, but reflective of my deep interest in both psychology and computers. Today, 16 years later, I'm excited about the convergence I'm starting to see between these two foci. Although it used to be that "IT is from Mars, HR is from Venus," corporate America seems to be increasingly accepting another aphorism:
No decision is (solely) a technology decision anymore ... and ... no decision is not a technology decision anymore. Corporate strategy is now about integrating people, processes and technology.
In addition, today more than ever, the words of Arie de Geus seem to ring true: "The only competitive advantage is the ability to learn faster than the competition." The combination of this convergence, along with the growing understanding that companies need to become learning organizations, forms the heart of the message that I convey in my presentations and writings. I hope it rings as true for you as it does for me.
